Sense4Sense Blog Opening

Dear All,
This is the translation and intercultural communication blogspot for my Budapest-based company Sense4Sense. Here you can find details about me and the company, as well as discussions about language, culture, and translation in general. Read on for more information!

The company name comes from the struggles of St Jerome (345-420) to render the Word of God into the Latin of the day. The guiding principle that Jerome adhered to when translating was to formulate meaning “sense for sense” instead of “word for word”. Today's translation theorists sometimes refer to this approach with the term “dynamic equivalence”.
